Last September, INDO-PACOM used the Virtual Aegis Weapon System (VAWS) in an experiment to see if army and air force units could use the Aegis system at sea. In the test, vaw was used to route targeting information used by destroyers and cruisers, instead with army high-mobility artillery rocket system (HIMARS) units and PAC-3 missile defense systems.
It is interesting to see a picture that makes you think of how to use AA in the Pacific Ocean, such as Guam, if AA in Japan has been realized. It's about time we got to know what the AA replacement will look like, but we're going to spend a lot of budget, so I hope it fits into a useful concept in every place.
