Pick up the interesting topics of naval security from the U.S. Department of Defense and U.S. Navy trend reports and so on. Also, I will make a note and follow on my ideas.

Navy Will Lead DDG(X) Design Effort

In the article,

The CNO states that it is important that the Navy take the lead in the design of the DDG(X) to reduce the technical risk of the program.

As part of the pending fiscal year 2023 defense policy bill, the Senate has encouraged both shipyards to team up on DDG(X) to mitigate risk.

The Navy will install proven combat systems on the new hull to further reduce risk on the DDG(X), which will begin construction in 2028.

The hull could be a DEEPER ship that can carry more space and weight, e.g. the size of a hypersonic missile.

The DDG(X) core system would be the Flight III SPY-6 and Baseline 10 weapon systems, with
It appears that the ship will be a larger hulled ship for expandability, such as large missiles. Realistic!

While the development of weapons for future technologies is of course important, the
I presume that CNO is trying to say that the immediate victory will be achieved by ensuring that conventional technology is required to operate reliably.
For the time being, the superiority of the SPY-6 series radar from Flight III will continue.

In any future discussion of Japan's DDG(X), interoperability with a weapon system proven by the U.S. Navy is of paramount importance, and
We need to be careful not to confuse this with the discussion of the unique example of a 20,000-ton Aegis system-equipped ship.
